February breaks digital risk records worldwide
Evidence in favour of BSD and Mac OS X gathers pace

London, UK - 1 March 2004, 12:30 GMT - February 2004 has broken some key records to become the second most economically damaging month for digital risk manifestation, according to data collected by the mi2g Intelligence Unit since 1995. This month also heralds the first time that commercial websites have been successfully targeted through Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks orchestrated via armies of million-plus zombies - mostly home and small business computers - infected by malware, including The SCO Group and The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
